At FBC, we are committed to spreading the message of Jesus Christ, both in our community and around the world. Missions is incredibly important to our church, and our Missions Team that helps organize them is split into three groups: local, national, and international. Our local missions encompasses mission work done in Farmington and the "Parkland" area. The local missions team is led by Pastor Mark. Below are some of our past mission projects. We also partner with the following local organizations: Parkland Pregnancy Resource Center, Farmington Ministerial Alliance Thrift Store & Food Pantry, Season of Hope, Youth for Christ, and more!
A partnership with Truman Learning Center to support, pray for, and encourage their staff and families.
Our annual Halloween event that reaches thousands in Farmington with the Gospel.
A tent free to families each year at our local Country Days festival that creatively shares the Gospel through fun with bubbles.
Empowers locals to be missionaries each year by packing a shoebox to send to a child around the world with the Gospel. Our church also serves as a regional collection center each November. Below is our collection center schedule for 2024.
A community-wide multi-church yearly bake sale to benefit our local food pantries. Community churches, click here to access a promotional pack with printables, graphics, and videos to promote the bake sale in your church family.
Provided repairs and clean up to residents in need around Farmington.
Our national missions take place outside of the Farmington area, but within the boundary of the United States. The national missions team is led by Pastor Jason. Below are some of our past national missions projects. We also partner with organizations such as, The Baptist Home of Ironton, MO, Faith Community Bible Church of Jennings, MO, the North American Mission Board, Annie Armstrong Missions Offering for North American Missionaries, and ChurchNet.
Our church collects previously used Bible-teaching materials for adults, teens, and kids, and takes trips to Love Packages in Butler, IL to pack the materials and send to countries in need of literature.
Our church has sent teen and adult mission teams to areas including Joplin, MO, Princeton, KY, and New Orleans, LA to assist with disaster relief after devastating tornadoes or hurricanes.
Some of our missions teams sent across the US to areas like Ocoee, TN, have helped with home construction and repairs in impoverished areas.
Our international missions take place outside of the United States. The international missions team is led by Pastor Kevin. Below are some of our past International mission projects. We also partner with organizations such as the International Mission Board (IMB), and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering to Support International Missionaries.
Past choir missions trips have aided in the establishment of the Baptist House of Mercy in Korbin to care for elderly Belarussian Baptists.
Past service mission teams and medical mission teams have worked at training and aiding leaders to help their country.
Mission teams have provided supplies to help the House of Hope orphanage, as well as delivered medical and hygiene kits to women and the elderly in need.
Another way we support various missions is through our budget and by special offerings. As a church, we regularly give to the following organizations: The Baptist Home, Missouri Baptist Children’s Home, International Mission Board, North American Mission Board, Youth for Christ, Parkland Pregnancy Resource Center, and more.
