Welcome to FBC Kids
First Baptist Church provides a well-rounded Christian education program for children. Through Bible study, worship, music, and missions activities the children are introduced to the love of Jesus Christ and His teachings.
Sunday Mornings
Lighthouse Harbor
Each Sunday morning at 10:30 AM, excluding the first Sunday of the month, we host a children’s worship service called Lighthouse Harbor, led by our Children’s Pastor and children’s volunteers. During this time, the children sing songs, hear a lesson, have snacks, play games, and do craft time. Lighthouse Harbor is for children age 4 to Grade 6 and is located on the second floor of our Children’s building, and above the Welcome Center.
Children’s Sunday School
Also on Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:15 AM is Sunday School for all ages including children from newborn-Grade 6. For a list of room numbers and groups, click here.
Nursery Care
We have nursery care available for babies up through age 3 during all of our worship services and Sunday School. Our nursery volunteers are led by two wonderful paid caregivers, Tracey Skuta and Maryann Rhives, who are trained in taking care of infants. They will assist you in registering your child, assessing any allergy or medical needs, and taking emergency contact information.
Wednesday Nights
We have our AWANA program on Wednesday nights during the school year from 5:45 p.m.-8 p.m! AWANA will include games, Bible teaching, memory verses, choir, and missions.

If your child is not yet registered for AWANA, they can register by paper form on their first night, or you can preregister your child at any time during the year at the link below under “Upcoming FBC Kids Events.”
More About FBC Kids AWANA
Puggles
For little ones, babies- age 3, we have our Puggles AWANA group! Puggles curriculum teaches Biblical truths through play, crafts, songs, and games. The children also get to work through coloring books that help parents teach them at home.
Cubbies
Cubbies is our AWANA group for age 4 – Kindergarten. Cubbies celebrates the spiritual potential of preschoolers by helping them develop respect for God, His Son and His Word. Cubbies work through an activity book with Weekly Bear Hugs that include memory verses, Bible lessons, and simple truths about the Bible.
Sparks
Sparks is our AWANA group for Grades 1-3. Sparks ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.
T&T
T&T is our AWANA group for Grades 3-6. T&T curriculum teaches kids the truth of God’s Word, trains them to follow Him and practice His grace.
Vacation Bible School
VBS is a big event for FBC Kids and you do not want to miss out! VBS is a fun week of Bible stories, crafts, mission studies, songs, video dramas, recreation, and snacks. This year's VBS will be June 24-28, 2024 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. The theme will be "Breaker Rock Beach: God's Rock-Solid Truth In A World of Shifting Sands."

Summer Camp
Each summer, our kids go to Eagle Sky Christian Camp in Piedmont, MO. Throughout the week, campers to do their own exciting activities, enjoy being a kid with campers their own age, and most importantly, grow closer with Christ. For more information about summer camp, contact the church office.
Kids Musicals
Our AWANA Choir rehearses, learns, and performs musicals on a yearly basis. Some musicals are based around Christmas, while others happen in the early summer. Stay tuned for upcoming musicals!
Trips
FBC Kids is never boring! Many other faith-filled fun trips they take have included in the past: pumpkin patches, corn mazes, zoos, ARK Encounter, Creation Museum, City Museum, caroling at local nursing homes, and more!
